San Marcos Children's Church... without kids...

Sorry, still no photos with the kids... i forgot the camera again!

I promise this Saturday I will get photos. We split the kids up into 3 groups; 3-5, 6-8 and 9-11 (the 12+ are still with this age group, but we soon will be starting a youth group for the kids 12 and over.. they are very excited about this!) in the meantime, the older kids are also helping us with the younger ones. Yelith is almost 14, she is in charge of the 3-5 year olds. I prepare the class for her and have everything ready, and she teaches them . It is working well so far! There were nearly 20 kids last week in the 3-5 group. And about the same number in the 6-8 group. There were near 40 in the 9+ group! We still have some kinks to work out... and lots of decorations to make and put up on the bare walls, but we are really excited and blessed to have the new building.

...And of course i have to show off my beautiful Isabella. She loves her Baby Bjorn.. especially now that she is big enough to face forward! She loves looking out. She's getting really heavy, she must weight almost 7 kilos. Soon I won't be able to carry her around like this. She's almost big enough for her other backpack that actually goes on the back. Ricky carries her a lot now because she's such a chubbers.

Next week we are going to Santiago, Chile for Ricky's brother, Angello's wedding. We are really looking forward to it. And of course Ricky's family are super excited to see Isabella. I'm sad though, because while we are there she will get her 4 month vaccinations. I've been reading (probably too much) about vaccinations. I'm worried about the negative affects of them. I do trust Isa in God's hands, but I'm still worried about her shots. And then when we get back to Cusco she will get another shot, for Tuberculosis. It's usually given at birth, but since she was born in the U.S., she didn't receive this vaccination (since TB has been eradicated in the US). I don't like the idea of this one because it takes at least 1 month to heal from it, and in most cases leaves a big scar on her arm. She'll fit in though cause everyone here has that same scar. Well I guess it's my job to worry now that I'm a mommy.

she's getting big!!! But that means she is healthy =)

Vaccinations are hard, I know I will struggle with the same decisions. But, it is good that she is getting them. There was a story on the news recently about a girl who came down with the measles here, and everyone was confused on how she got it, because almost everyone is vaccinated, but her parents didn't believe in vaccinations, so she never got ANY. =(

Anyway, I love hearing about whats going on, thanks for sharing. Love you.

The Apartment is really nice. I am glad you found it. It is really nice they finished it so fast too!
I have decided to be a parent that doesn't get immunization shots. (well at least not till they are five) Maddy got a few when she was little and always reacted badly to them. She still has a little bump on her leg that will act up every once in awhile.
Trinity got the shots they require before you leave the Hospital. Other then that I won't be getting them shots till they are older. I have read a lot about the affects of infants getting too many shots to young. Scary stuff.
I love seeing pictures of that Beautiful girl! Keep them coming.
Love ya!

My gosh Isabella is getting so big. And she is such a happy girl! And I completely understand about the shots. I for one had Madi get all of her shots because I worry far too much about illness! LOL!!!!

Thanks for posting pictures. I miss you Tracie!
